Today I am posting from my phone while Rijen is driving home with photos from our Outing to Nagagusuku castle.

There are about 300 castle ruins on the island and this is one of the best preserved. From the view at the top you can see the Pacific to the east and the East China Sea to the west.
It was constructed in the late 14th century. The construction of the walls are of particular interest in Respect to the method and artistry. It is a World Heritage Site.
These are NOT the walls that are so amazing. I took pictures of the walls with my other camera, not my phone, so I don’t have any of those in this post, but maybe I’ll put them in later when I get home.
